I am a hobbyist, wrth particular interests with Gramophones. I have been collecting and repairing G for the last 40 years. I have now on my hand a HMV cabinet gramophone, model 193. It is a marvellous machine from my experince of playing an old record " Nursie, Nursie come on again and hold my hand an old British war time song. I want to service the machine but cannot lift the motorboard of the cabinet. I have tried everything but all means have failed. Perhaps there is a little seret within the heart of this machine.
