My HMV 511 gramophone

I acquired this machine about 10 years ago, and it is one of my favorites.  It has a #4 soundbox, and the cabinet was repurposed from the HMV 510 model.  Later HMV 511s use a slightly different cabinet that was purpose built for the HMV 511, since it was relatively popular.  The gramophone has a large horn that wraps around the inside of the cabinet, and it a very good performer.

I like how the motor board is flush with the top of the cabinet. Looks amazing.

How did you get the top plate off

I own a 511 but I can't figure out what's holding it on
