RodPickett Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 The following excerpt posted with permission, Copyright © The Antique Phonograph Society from the Ron Dethlefson works. The Ford Band and Orchestra recordings are important because they constitute the largest group of special recordings or private pressings produced by Edison. Furthermore, these recordings represent the last examples of "live" or direct entertainment cylinder records made by Edison or any other company. Two of the 10 cylinders (unnumbered) from the first recording session in 1915 at the Ford Auditorium in Detroit are known in private collections as follows: 4 – Lola 6 – Euphonium You may read more about their history in the attached PDF. Meanwhile, are you aware of any other of the 10 selections in private collections? The Ford Motor Band.pdf 1
