Today is the 100th anniversary of the first performance of Rhapsody In Blue!

One hundred years ago today the first performance of Rhapsody In Blue occurred at Aeolian Hall in New York city with Paul Whiteman's orchestra and George Gershwin at the piano.  The version below was recorded three years later in 1927. There is also an acoustic version from 1924, but this one has much better sound being an orthophonic electrical recording. Just imagine having been in the audience!
