Here is some information about the company:

Nirona

At the beginning of 20th century, the "Nirona-Werke" from Beierfeld, Saxony / Germany was well-known for metal industry and leading in production of storm lanterns. During World War I, they produced of necessity needs steel helmets. The company manufactured also parts for automobiles, bicycles and tin-toys.

Later, "Nirona" became also a line of inexpensive talking machines. The Model "Suzy" was produced in the late 1920's. The gramophone plays the small children records and the 10" records. Characteristic is the bell-shaped reflector which sounds surprising loud and clear. The red painted case is exclusive made with tin-plate. The charming "Nirona" gramophone was certainly not only a toy for children!  (Source: http://www.grammophon.ch)
