Am I correct in thinking $350 is a good price for this Grafanola?

I found this at my source for records in Brunswick, ME. Not sure of the exact model; I noticed it on the way out…

It looks like a Columbia Grafonola Favorite, later renamed to Model 50 for its $50 price tag. From the picture, it looks like the machine has been stripped or refinished as the inside of the lid is so much darker. Also, knowing that the tonearm and elbow are made from pot metal which is prone to swelling and cracking, I would want to make sure that it is moving freely in all directions before considering it. Assuming that the motor is working and correct, I would still not pay more than maximum $150 in the condition shown, preferably less.

Thank you, both, for the valuable input; that’s an excellent point about the finish. The inside of the lid is dark and glossy, unlike the rest of the machine.

I agree with Ben and Alan.  Several years ago I purchased one in oak and in excellent condition for $125.
