Henry
This follows the primordial pattern first laid down by King Oliver's "Dippermouth Blues" (1923), and by subsequent recordings under either title. Oliver's three-chorus solo has been widely copied, and most recordings also include the spoken line "Oh play that thing." This is a classic jazz piece with an interesting history that leaves traces in many recordings down through the years. There's an extensive list of recordings under both titles here: https://secondhandsongs.com/work/163739/all . Thanks for posting!
