Information Regarding English Made His Master's Voice #2 Reproducer

Hi all,

 

Hoping to get some clarity on this. I found it in a bunch of estate items. I've bought cases and reproducers before because I like to see they aren't destroyed and these machines fascinate me. Anyway, it was in an envelope marked "His Master's Voice #2 Soundbox/Rebuilt March 14, 2007/Very Rare English Version." I've done  some research and haven't really been able to confirm these are particularly rare. Was the owner mistaken? Any information would be great.  I attached a photo.

I wouldn't say incredibly rare, they're a little more uncommon here in the states. 

They turn up pretty often on UK-eBay and you can import them for about the same as a US one. (Maybe being gold makes it a little rarer.)
