Generally, I avoid the off brand machines, unless they are small or interesting, but today I saw this in a cupboard, at the bottom, under some clothes (yep, had to dig for it), and just had to have it. A modicum of research says this likely has a Vanophone reproducer but it runs well and plays well before I have done anything to it. A good scrub, polish, touch up, and reproducer rebuild should make it even better. Otherwise, it is a cast iron boat anchor. not really.

I've always liked these Universal phonographs.  I've never owned one, but I think they look kind of cool.
