History Colored - Edison and Ford

I came across this colorized photo of Edison and Ford.

I haven't always been a fan of colorization, but I must admit it has come a long, long way.  There's an immediacy that the black & white images lack, although I'm still attracted to the "romance" of the original images that suggests the passage of time.  These days, I like them both.

I love the black & white images, but the new colorization methods restore a sense of reality to history.  In the past, history seemed to be stuck in a world of black and white, which somehow makes it harder to relate to...
