fmlondon Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 I know that, in 1921, David Sarnoff had a Westinghouse RC radio installed in a Victrola, and took the device to Eldridge Johnson at Victor to try and interest him in such combination units. Johnson was not interested. I thought I saw this one-off device at Greenfield Village about 25 years ago, but it is not on their inventory list. Does anyone know its whereabouts? As the very first combination unit I find it of great interest, but can literally find out nothing about it online; not its history, and not its current location. Will someone please tell me anything they can about this machine, and where it is located?
alang Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 (edited) The Johnson Victrola Museum in Dover, DE has an experimental Victrola case with radio installed on display. Not sure if that is the machine you're talking about? Just saw the picture in your wanted ad. The machine at the JVM is different (later?) than what you posted.
