"On This Day in Phonographic History..."

 

October 2, 1908: Died: Will F. Denny, who distinguished himself in 1891 at the New England Phonograph Company as a performer of comic songs, followed by a successful career recording for Edison, Columbia and Victor while also appearing on the vaudeville stage.

I have a Berlin Phonograph Works replica of a North American channel rim 1893 recording, "Sweet Marie",  by Denny.  It comes in an unmarked container which I "upgraded" a bit with some photos I found on internet.   🙂

Nice job on the box, Bruce!  Even knowing beforehand that you had created it, my heart skipped a beat when I saw the beautiful (sheet music) graphics on a cylinder box!
