EVENTS SCHEDULED DURING THE CALIFORNIA EXPO

APS' California EXPO on August 21/22 in Buena Park is HAPPENING. 

 

In addition to vendor tables with cylinders and discs plus the popular silent auction, we have scheduled events of particular interest to record collectors:

On Saturday afternoon there is an Ask The Experts workshop, with people to answer questions about everything from reproducer rebuilding to modern record playback and recording

On Saturday night, noted pioneer disc and cylinder record collector, David Giovannoni, gives a tour of i78s - his impressive new website with over 36,000 recordings you can search, play and study

Plus, on Sunday, at 3pm, there is a live concert by the Sedalia Ragtime Orchestra, a 12-piece band playing rags, marches, popular songs of the era, etc.  The concert is part of Sunday admission (as low as $5), so expect to see new collectors and new faces in the afternoon.
