RECORD EVENTS SCHEDULED FOR APS CALIFORNIA EXPO

APS' California EXPO on August 21/22 in Buena Park is HAPPENING. 

 

In addition to vendor tables with cylinders and discs plus the popular silent auction, we have scheduled events of particular interest to record collectors:

• On Saturday afternoon there is an Ask The Experts workshop, with people to answer questions about everything from reproducer rebuilding to modern record playback and recording
• On Saturday night, noted pioneer disc and cylinder record collector, David Giovannoni, gives a tour of i78s - his impressive new website with over 36,000 recordings you can search, play and study

Plus, on Sunday, at 3pm, there is a live concert by the Sedalia Ragtime Orchestra, a 12-piece band playing rags, marches, popular songs of the era, etc.  The concert is part of Sunday admission (as low as $5), so expect to see new collectors and new faces in the afternoon.
