July 8, 1872: Born: Harry Von Tilzer (born Aaron Gumbinsky in Detroit, MI) was an immensely successful composer and songwriter. His string of hits began in 1898 when he composed My Old New Hampshire Home, which sold 2 million sheet music copies.
