melvind Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 I have found information regarding which reproducers by name (or number) belong to individual machines, but I would love to see a reference with pictures of the various floating reproducers produced by Columbia. Does anyone know of such a reference?
Tinfoilphono Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 Howard Hazelcorn's book about Graphophones has pictures and descriptions of Columbia cylinder reproducers. It's an old book but it shouldn't be hard to find, and it's well worth having as a reference.
RodPickett Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 I just reviewed my copy of Hazelcorn's Columbia Phonograph Companion Vol I. Section Six, pp 274-277, has representative photos of reproducers and a reference table associating reproducer with phonograph model. As Rene suggested, these books are readily available and well worth the cost.
melvind Posted May 13, 2021 Author Posted May 13, 2021 Thanks guys. I feel kind of stupid. I was looking through that book (which I own) this morning thinking there must be pictures of reproducers. But, I missed that page. I found the pages that tells what reproducer belongs to the various machines, but somehow just missed that page. Sheesh... Thanks for pointing it out. It is exactly what I wanted and I had it all along! 1
