Mlund2020 Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 (edited) I suspect that most have heard the tragic news of Ron Sitko’s passing in his sleep Monday night. He was a giant in our hobby to whom we all owe a huge debt of gratitude. There are many machines complete and running today thanks to his dedication and production of many parts. He was an amazing person and friend to all who knew him. He will be missed. I am posting here this morning because I noticed that on his obituary (link below), that there is a place to share memories and condolences with the family. I thought that many who knew him may want to do this. https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/timesunion-albany/name/ronald-sitko-obituary?pid=198272355 Edited April 7, 2021 by Mlund2020 1 1
Valecnik Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 I heard this very sad news multiple places. It will seem odd to go to the next Midwest phonograph show and not see him there. When I ordered by phone, he always mailed the parts to Europe within a day or two, never waiting for my check to arrive. A friendlier fellow is hard to find. He will be missed indeed.
Guest Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 Terribly pleasant fellow and so easy to do business with. We seem to be running out of parts options.
