August 4, 1870: Born: Sir Harry Lauder, Scottish singer, comedian, and popular Gramophone Company/Victor recording artist.

 

February 26, 1950: Died.

I have never been a Harry Lauder fan, but there is no denying he was a major force in the recording industry and had to be very popular in his day. I have a few of his records and nearly always see them when looking through records in shops I visit. Thanks for the nice post and great pictures.
