Here is an item that doesn’t come up for sale too often:

This is a 15-page hard cover book measuring 13 x 16 inches promoting the virtues of the Edison Diamond Disc Phonograph with emphasis on the “New Edison” Chippindale C-250 Official Laboratory Model and Re-Creation discs. Dealers could use this book to promote the phonograph and stimulate sales.

 

The book has its original paper mailing wrapper and is heavily illustrated with ornate line drawings and full-page illustration. Content extols Edison’s research and the superior craftsmanship and quality of sound reproduction of the “New Edison Phonograph” along with examples of the famous Tone Tests.

 

This book is truly extraordinary example of 1917 advertising artwork. The item is complete with all pages in tack with no marks, or tears. There is some minor age and use related discoloration and page edge wear.

Nice!   I've got the same book but without the mailing wrapper.  Even without that a real quality piece of period advertising but the  wrapper is a big extra.  Never seen one!
