Camp Songs - U.S. Army by Chorus of Male Voices 1917

[melvind]

This is an interesting record that covers both sides of the Diamond Disc. World War 1 was in full force in 1917 when this record was recorded. The singers are impressive. Billy Murray, Donald Chalmers, Harvey Hindermyer, John Young, and Steve Porter. The war propaganda of the day against Germany is pretty intense and I am sure worked to help finance the effort in Europe. I found this record surprising and it kept my attention from the first time I played it.
