phono-phan Posted August 8 Posted August 8 I knew about this phonograph for a few years. It was in a basement of someone I met that wanted his other phonographs working again. He has a near mint VV-XIV, an Edison Lab model, Edison Amberola 30, and a Kimball that all needed attention. I got them all working and never charged him for it. He called me yesterday and said that if I wanted the Victor II that he would sell it. I was to his place in a jiffy. It has a badly repainted aftermarket horn but the rest looked great. Here are some before and after pictures. I couldn't believe how minty it was under the dirt. This one might be a keeper. 2
phono-phan Posted August 9 Author Posted August 9 This Victor II was even in better condition than the one in the collection. It even matches the horn better. 1
KentinKC Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Congrats - do someone a favor and look what happens - that's pure Karma!
BruceW Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Love the wood graining. Excellent job in restoring the Victor. All that from just being a nice person - congratulations.
