Lindoro Posted April 2 Posted April 2 my late partner left a collection of antique phonographs, accessories, paraphernalia and of course records. I hate to see these machines gathering dust and want to make them available to other collectors. Unfortunately, I do not have a very good idea of the value of these machines. Also, living on an island, shipping logistics are daunting. I am attaching a few photographs in hopes that there are items that may be of interest to Forum participants. Thanks in advance for any information offered. 1
Jerry Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Those are some very nice examples. What part of the country are you located in?
Lindoro Posted April 3 Author Posted April 3 I’m on Lopez Island, Washington State. A ferry ride from Anacortes, WA, which is about 2 hours north of Seattle.
Antqflea Posted April 11 Posted April 11 hi i am interested in looking at and discussing the purchase of a couple of your phonographs. you can email me at antqflea@yahoo.com with your phone number or just discuss on line. Thank you
BenL Posted April 15 Posted April 15 (edited) I'm so sorry for your loss. It looks like a wonderful collection. Please don’t feel rushed into making a decision—you can take your time and either sell the machines individually or as a complete collection, depending on what feels right for you. I’d recommend reaching out to Cliff Bolling of Cliff's Vintage Music Shoppe in Castle Rock, Washington. He owns and operates his own shop where he restores and sells phonographs. Cliff is a well-known collector in the region and may be able to help you connect with others who would be interested in the collection. Selling locally through someone like Cliff could also save you the hassle of shipping. While you might be able to earn a bit more by selling them online, shipping phonographs can be difficult and costly—and if you hire someone to handle it, that will likely cut into your profits.
