marcapra Posted February 23 Posted February 23 My C-2 was sounding weak and distorted, so I sent the tone arm and pickup to George Epple. He made some adjustments to the pickup greatly increasing its volume, and rewired the tone arm. When I got it back I had to solder the two leads to the volume control. Then I soldered new leads from the volume control to the pins that go into the amplifier. The volume came up and played like it never had before! Before it only went up to medium volume. Now you probably wouldn't want to turn it up all the way. In my wiring, I cut out the treble cutoff box to give the records a brighter sound, especially Edison DDs. 3
