electrolaman Posted January 1 Posted January 1 2024 was a good year for finding a few rare all electric automatic phonographs for my collection. This Stromberg-Carlson Radio / Multiple Record Phonograph is a particularly rare one to find in working order. Like the early Victor record changer it had pot metal parts that most have warped beyond function. The previous owner of my new acquisition had new parts machined out of brass many years ago. This set is high powered with push-pull 245 audio amplifier tubes and a large 10" dynamic speaker. I will post a video of it in the video section of the forum. 3
Dischoard Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Holy cow, that is a beauty. Would have loved to have seen that in action back in the day!
marcapra Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Those six leg sets became very popular in 1933 and 34. I used to have RCA Victor 1933 and 1934 models. I now own a 1928 Edison C-2, but the tonearm and pickup are out of it now being rebuilt by George Epple. Can't wait to get it back and start listening to 1920s electric records again, as well as Edison DD electrics. 1
audiophile102 Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Did you ever get around to making a demo video? The Stromberg Carlson produced amazing machines and yours is one. 1
