maginter Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Hey All - I recently picked up a Victor 9-54 and the Electric Horseshoe Pickup, Light Switch Embellishment Mount and Needle Cup were removed. Also, I need to replace a couple of the Radiola Knobs. The Needle Cup and knobs should be somewhat easy to find. However, I will need help in finding the pickup. I will take it working or not. I can rewind the coil, rebuild it, etc. I have included a picture attached from the internet. I will also need to find the light switch embellishment or if you have one, can I get a drawing of one so I can reproduce it? So, if you have a pickup and other parts that you can part with, please let me know. TIA, Mark
MarkELynch Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Mark, Sorry to hear of your woes after winning this machine at the Stanton auction, The Radiola 64 tuning knob as used by Victor in the 9-54, 9-56 and 9-18 is slightly different than the one used in the RCA Radiola 64 in that it contains a mechanism to silence the speaker while tuning. Pushing the special knob inward while turning enables this feature. In RCA’s version it was not implemented and they used a regular knob. The feature is not that useful so finding a regular knob for your 9-54 will pose no problems. Good Luck with your restoration, Mark
