AudioAntique Posted September 9 Posted September 9 The popular selling Edison Amberola 30 in a "convertible" cabinet designed and sold by the Babson Bros. Co. of Chicago offered the public as an inexpensive means for converting an Edison table model cylinder phonograph to an upright style phonograph with four drawers for cylinder storage. The cabinet is in very good, sturdy condition with an original dark oak finish matching the machine. The Amberola 30 is in good condition. The motor has been cleaned, adjusted, and lubricated and is in excellent playing condition. The reproducer has been cleaned with new gaskets installed and plays great. At some point in its past, the motor winding shaft was extended to meet the crank at the proper distance to the outside of the cabinet. This can be seen in a photo. This combination machine and cabinet is being sold as a single unit to be delivered for pick-up at the Wayne Phonograph Show, New Jersey, October 12-13. Inquires welcome. Thank you. Rob
phono-phan Posted September 9 Posted September 9 This set up doesn't show up very often. This looks great and should sell fast. 1
