Recommended Posts

I bought this from someone in England it looks like a Columbia eagle except for the base. There is a 5 digit number on the base plate , it on the opposite side of the governor. Any info would be greatly appreciated? It came with a slide wood case , the case looks homemade???

see pictures

Thanks Dan

A European copy of the Eagle Graphophone.  There are a few places where it differs from the Columbia product.  These are interesting - - and there were a lot of them!

Thanks George are parts interchangeable between them. Do you know if had a cover over the belt? I only looked at it quick but most of the parts look the same . I’ll get a better look in next few days.

I wouldn't count on interchangeability of parts, if for no other reason that the threads will be metric.  I assume there was originally a belt cover.  You might want to post this under the "British & European" category to hopefully get an informed answer.

Good luck!

Well, I don't "always" have an answer, especially for European machines, but thank you for your kind words!
