Jeff238 Posted June 6 Posted June 6 Here is a late issue in the Edison North American numerical series, number 1460 issued in 1894. "Mamie! Come Kiss Your Honey Boy" sung by Edward M. Favor on a channel rim brown wax cylinder. The announcement mentions Rice's 1492 Company which refers to a play entitled "Rice's Surprise Party". More about that may be found here: https://www.loc.gov/resource/varspbk.brpt33/?sp=3&st=image and the sheet music for "Mamie! Come Kiss Your Honey Boy" may be seen here: https://levysheetmusic.mse.jhu.edu/collection/142/030 The record itself has fairly low volume and consequently the surface noise is relatively high. The channel rim of this cylinder has what may be glue residue from the circular title labels Edison used for these cylinders. I do not have the label or a title slip for this record. Edward M.
