Was gonna say. Underside of lid is very similar to my mahogany  VV-XI. How about that book-matched veneer on the door?! Pretty spectacular.

Yes that’s mahogany. But nicely grained. 
 

Some craftsman at the cabinet factory went above & beyond that day over 100 years ago.

 

Could this been a special order?
