Bennie Moten 78 from the collection of Joe Bussard

This particular record once belonged to the late Joe Bussard. His daughter has decided to sell, or auction off her father’s records. http://www.joesvintage78.com.  Some of the records that were auctioned off, fetched some pretty hefty prices. I was fortunate enough to buy this for $75.00 as a buy it now.

Fortunately for lovers of classic jazz, "Moten Stomp" has been reissued on CD (and no doubt other formats? I'm no expert on this!). It's a swingin' piece!

Wow! Thank you for sharing this. I didn't know what was happening with his collection. I'll have to keep an eye on that website. Looks like she'll probably be working on parting this out for some time, judging from what his basement wall looked like!

She has help as well. Most of the collection has been auctioned off, and some of those records commanded some rather high prices. I was fortunate enough to buy this records outside of the auction. As, they are selling some items as a Buy It Now.  Make sure to create an account, as well as sign up for the, News Letter. As  Lou the gentleman helping Susana, Joe’s daughter help sell Joe’s records. They are taking a month off, but will be back in December. The records, are going fast. Also, make sure to have a credit card when you set up your account. To participate in the auction. Blues and Jazz go fast, not so much Country or Gospel.
