Estate Sale & Standard Dx

This past October I was lucky enough to find this Standard Dx, a box of records, Aretino adaptor, and some original Standard needles.

This little open horn machine spent most of its life on display in the family’s exposed basement rumpus room. Remember rumpus rooms? This was in a MCM house in a nice wooded area. One time considered the boonies, but now part of the urban Rockford Illinois area.

Also in that basement was a nice Edison oak c19. But that’s another story.

That's a Standard X2, which should be in relief on the traveling arm.

Nice group!

What a nice find! The horn looks fantastic!

As to Rumpus Rooms, yes I remember those. Do you recall when "dad" would put on his "putter pants" when doing work around the house... possibly in the rumpus room? 🙂

Thanks Jerry!

It is really nice to find them in the wild. Especially in this condition. The horn just needed a dusting wipe & polish.

That  adapter is unusual, I've never seen a Standard to Aretino hole adapter...
