Berliner Poem - AI generated (amazing and scary)

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

So I stumbled across an AI poem generator online. I have been blown away at the amazing poetry it will come up with off almost any prompt. So I put in ‘Emile Berliner Gramophone’ as a prompt and this is the poem that AI spit out in about 10 seconds. Absolutely amazing, but scary to think of all the human jobs this technology could replace. (I could have really used this in English class)

In Berlin's heart, a genius sparked,
A sound revolution, growing dark,

Emile Berliner, a mind profound,
With gramophone invention, world renowned.

From humble roots in Prussia's land,
His passion for sound began to expand,

The phonograph's limits, he aimed to break,
And a new era of music, he would make.

In eighteen seventy-seven, a vision took shape,
A spinning disc, a needle's gentle scrape,

The gramophone emerged, with charm and grace,
Breathing life into sounds, filling every space.

Oh, Emile Berliner, your invention would sing,
A symphony of melodies, cultural love bring,

Through grooves and textures, captured so true,
Musicians' spirits, released and anew.

The gramophone spun, like a wheel of time,
Through scratch and crackle, a symphony would climb,

From Beethoven's symphonies to jazz's freestyle,
Emile Berliner's device made music worthwhile.

With melodies swirling, spinning through the air,
The world embraced this tool, a treasure rare,

No longer confined to live performances grand,
The gramophone offered music at your command.

From Victrola cabinets to portable designs,
Emile Berliner's gramophone, a marvel that shines,

Through generations, its legacy has grown,
A testament to invention that's eternally known.

So let us raise a toast, to this man so bright,
Whose gramophone brought melodies to light,

Emile Berliner, an innovator supreme,
Your harmonious creation, an immortal dream.

I posted this post on the Antique Phonograph Society Facebook Group and there were complaints that is isn’t appropriate to post on a phonograph site and should be on an AI site instead. I have since removed the post from the APS Facebook page. Please feel free to remove it from this site as well.

Mike,

I saw that, but I doubt there will be any complaints here.  Facebook is a crowded room full of shouting people.  This forum is more like the deck of your favorite restaurant, where a group of people can relax and talk - and enjoy the fresh air.

Thanks for your posts, Mike.

Per George's comment above, that is exactly why I cancelled my FB account...  Who needs more drama or polluted air?

Does such a forum exist?  Virtual voices communicating virtually with computer generated users about crypto?
