ken53092 Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 A Facebook friend posted this wonderful PDF of the operating instructions that came with the very early Edison Standard phonographs! What a wonderful gift to all collectors! I have yet to see it posted here, so I decided to post it myself for the benefit of those in need or those who are just interested! MANY thanks to fellow collector Michael Sims! Edison Standard instructions.pdf 2

RodPickett Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 Thank you for posting. These are for the rare short-lived Standard Speaker. One slip of the adjusting arm and the cutting stylus is chewing your expensive wax cylinder. 2

I've got a couple of those Standard Speakers on an Early Standard and on a Class M. You are dead right RodPickett. The Automatic was a huge improvement in practicality and also sound quality.
