Here is a record I have been looking for over many years. I was told it was new old stock, but while the record looks like new, it definitely is not in mint condition. It is still a great record to hear and to have.

Curious.  What is the "noise" at about 1:44 and again at about 1:55?

 

Or is my hearing going bad?

I am not sure what you heard, but both have a bass sax playing a riff at those timings. Is that what you mean?

This is one of my all time favorite Gershwin tunes, along with Nashville Nightingale...  

 

Rod, those "noises" you mentioned are tree frogs mating in the recording horn... 🤣

That's an amazing rendition. It's incredible to hear it played when it was still newly-written.
