Valecnik Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 (edited) One of these sets came with an Edison Class M, excellent new rubber tubing provided by Aaron Loyak. The other set includes Aaron's tubing, Charlie Hummel's ear and Y hardware and stancion by Pedro Martinez Diaz. Edited April 21, 2023 by Valecnik added info 2
ken53092 Posted May 10, 2023 Posted May 10, 2023 I have a set of these but missing the stancion.. also they are LOUD! Did they ever make a device to allow one to tone down the sound? ( I do it by pinching the rubber tubing while listening) I'd love to find a stancion for my set which would make them fit around my head and neck area much easier.
Tinfoilphono Posted May 10, 2023 Posted May 10, 2023 (edited) Listening tubes often had wires inside the upper tubing sections to make them semi-rigid and stay in place. There were also tubes made with an external wire brace as seen in this picture. These have been reproduced in small quantities in the past (mine is a replica) but they may be hard to find today even as reproductions. (EDIT to add: I failed to remember Valencik already posted a photo of such wire supports. I didn't know Pedro made them -- perhaps they are still available from him.) I'm pretty sure Pedro could make up some more if there's any demand. The combination of Charlie's ear sets, Aaron's tubing and Pedro's stanchions really works in my opinion.
