Definitely a VTLA with the decorative frieze on top. A beautiful machine that I would love to own, but Texas is too far away.

I have a mahogany machine with the decorative frieze but the 1909 machine has a label that says VV XVI. I think there was a transitional period from VTLA to XVI. So, it could be either, but doesn't change desirability to me.
