HMV 511 Maintenance

I own a hmv 511 

I want to do some maintenance on it

but I can't see how to get at the motor.

Most gramaphones have 4 screws in the corners of the wood top plate 

Not this 1

Help me please

It's playing records too fast and the speed adjuster is not working.

If I recall rightly you access the motor from the back door of the cabinet - you do on mine anyway! It has a four spring motor.

Good luck adjusting the speed - it should not be difficult?  H
