JacobW Posted January 28, 2023 Author Posted January 28, 2023 My brother is going to help me load it I was planning on going to a auction but this came up on facebook marketplace for 200 when I first sent a messaged about it he said someone was coming to buy it. A few hours later he messaged and asked if I was still interested evidently that person quit communicating. I haven't even seen it in person yet. Tommorow morning I'm picking it up.
JacobW Posted January 30, 2023 Author Posted January 30, 2023 I picked it up earlier, there is all different types of interesting records in there lol
Sully64 Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 Looks like that will be very nice when cleaned up. Probably better than the VV-XI I brought home from an auction a couple months ago. 1

Does yours have a exhibition reproducer or a no.2

Nice job This has the No 2 reproducer which was luckily in better shape than the cabinet. For the cabinet(which still needs a lot more work) I used Gojo hand cleaner and an old toothbrush to remove the many years of grime and then #0000 steel wool followed by some Feed-N-Wax. My goal is to keep this original. Won't look perfect but it will still be original. 1

I'm pretty sure the reproducer on mine has been rebuilt

I have seen a ton in white but not sure what the original color was. 1
phonogfp Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 The original gasket material on Exhibition sound boxes was white. George P. 1 1
