I'm going to be moving soon. I promised myself that I wasn't going to buy anything big till after the move. Well a great deal came up and I'm picking it up Sunday. Oh well there is always space for a little bit more lol

Yes I believe that will have that big  dual barrel quadruple spring motor.  I hope you back is good!

My brother is going to help me load it I was planning on going to a auction but this came up on facebook marketplace for 200 when I first sent a messaged about it he said someone was coming to buy it. A few hours later he messaged and asked if I was still interested evidently that person quit communicating. I haven't even seen it in person yet. Tommorow morning I'm picking it up.

Looks like that will be very nice when cleaned up. Probably better than the VV-XI I brought home from an auction a couple months ago.

I have a vv xi too. I would take a picture of it but it is surrounded by boxes. Does yours have a exhibition reproducer or a no.2

What did you use to clean the cabinet up. That is a big improvement. Nice job

This has the No 2 reproducer which was luckily in better shape than the cabinet. For the cabinet(which still needs a lot more work) I used Gojo hand cleaner and an old toothbrush to remove the many years of grime and then #0000 steel wool followed by some Feed-N-Wax. My goal is to keep this original. Won't look perfect but it will still be original.

Do you know if victrola used white tubing on the exhibition reproducer. I'm pretty sure the reproducer on mine has been rebuilt

Unfortunately I am not sure what an exhibition reproducer came with from victor. I have seen a ton in white but not sure what the original color was.

The original gasket material on Exhibition sound boxes was white.
