Dale Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 I have several Columbia cylinder phonographs, but I have not had much experience with them, as I have collected mostly Edison cylinder phonographs. AS I prepare to sell the machines in my collection, I would like to correspond or speak with someone who knows Columbia cylinder machines and can help me with questions that I may have. Tinfoilphono Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 There is a wider variety of Columbia machines than Edison. You might want to hunt for a copy of Howard Hazelcorn's book on Columbia Cylinder Phonographs. It would probably answer a lot of your questions, and may tell you a lot that you might never think to ask. It's an essential reference, and copies turn up regularly. I see one on Amazon now at $35. There are a few on eBay ranging from $39 to $78.
phonogfp Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 The Hazelcorn book is a great suggestion. There are also a number of Graphophone fanatics here who can help you. Ask away! George P.
