electrolaman Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 I picked up this VE9-16X s.n. 1854 in Detroit awhile back. It was totally dead but in great over all cosmetic condition. I already have one of these (S.N. 1681) that I bought several years ago in St Louis but is in a little less cosmetic condition. I just yesterday restored the amplifier (power resistors and capacitors). I have yet to restore the radio capacitors however the Electrola is working now. I will need to restore the leather speaker surround as it is shot. That is the little fuzzy sound you hear in the video. I will be keeping this VE9-16 and passing my first one on to a local collector. Carlton Smith 1053639963_VE9-16XVID2-Copy.mp4 2
