melvind Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 (edited) Here is an ash tray that shows both records and grafanolas. It is 5.5 inches wide. This is a record display stand I assume for a record store. There is a knob on the back that allows the record to move up and down. It is 26.75 inches tall. \ A 1939 ladies compact with the image of a record on top. It is 3.5 inches wide. The puff and some powder still exist inside and it still has a faint scent as well. The mirror is perfect. Here is the record that is used on the compact. Edited June 9, 2020 by melvind 1
Neilvanstem Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 I do not have much in the way of a Columbia gizmo or gadget but only this more common brake. I have never used it because I do not want to make new holes on my machines!!
melvind Posted June 9, 2020 Author Posted June 9, 2020 Here is a Columbia Records box for the asian market that I picked up at the APS Expo last Summer. It is interesting because it has a number of record slips inside that I assume describe the records that were in the box. But, I don't really know what they say. 1

Analogous Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Dan - do you know if this was used to ship records to the orient or to domestic dealers selling Chinese records? John

John I am not really sure. It could be either. Perhaps to China Towns in various cities in the USA. But, I really do not know.
