PeterPoggi
OK this is where I show my ignorance. First, I can't get the image to rotate to the proper orientation. But even worse, I have a feeling that the brake leather is supposed to press up against the inside of the turntable, not below it, correct? I used 5mm leather cord and it was NOT easy to get into that claw.
phonogfp
You are correct - - when activated, the brake leather should be contacting the inner surface of the turntable rim. You can slightly bend the brake arm upwards to achieve this. Inserting/removing the leather is much easier if each "finger" is slightly bent away from the other, as in the motion made by "letting your fingers do the walking..."
