A Different Perspective and PROTOTYPE – WORK IN PROGRESS

The Antique Phonograph Society continues to explore outreach opportunities to introduce the old, to a newer generation.  One element we are exploring is the rapidly expanding AI sphere and the breadth of available knowledge.

A young collector and APS member, Mr. Travis Nugent, published a one-page article in the December 2025 issue of The Antique Phonograph, titled “Wreckords”, focused on the Titanic shipwreck and a suitcase of 78 rpm’s discovered on the ocean floor.  Using Mr. Nugent’s article as a catalyst, we generated this AI Podcast, duration 7:36.

Another young collector and APS member, Ms. Millicent Toshio Nakamura, published a one-page article in the September 2025 issue of The Antique Phonograph, titled “A History of Japanese 78’s.  Because of the long life-span of this subject topic, we decided to test the AI engine with this article as a catalyst.  This was the resulting, and much different, Podcast, duration 10:18.
