The Amberola 30 is in very good condition. The motor has been cleaned, adjusted, and lubricated and is in excellent playing condition. The reproducer has been cleaned with new gaskets installed and plays great. At some point in its past, the motor winding shaft was extended to meet the crank at the proper distance to the outside of the cabinet. This can be seen in a photo.

This combination machine and cabinet if sold to be delivered for pick-up at the Wayne Phonograph Show, or the Stanton Auction.

Original case, mechanism, paint and decals. Recently serviced works superbly, easily playing through a full cylinder. Rebuilt K Reproducer plays loud and clear both 2 and 4 minute cylinders. The horn is repainted and is the identical maroon colour, matching the Gem case.

I am offering a number of more or less rare cylinder record boxes from different countries (plus two at the end, that are rather interesting records). See photos below for what is available. The numbers on the photos match the numbers in the list/description below.

I haven’t added prices, as everyone who is seriously interested in cylinder boxes has a rough idea what they will sell for. My prices will be fair, but don’t expect extreme bargains. And I will give a discount, if someone buys quite a few boxes. Just let me know (by PM here or through FB Messenger - https://www.facebook.com/helmut.janisch.5) what you are interested in, and then I tell you how much I’d like to have … and then we’ll see if we can agree on a deal. First come first serve, though I will try to please everyone.

If you are seriously interested in buying one or more boxes and need to see more photos from all around of the box or of the record (where included), I will take photos and send them to you. For now, I think that the photos of the front and top gives a good idea of the condition.

Shipping is from Germany, which for USA collectors means that it is not as easy anymore because of increased tariffs on European/EU goods and changes in the terms for receiving parcels from the EU. But I will do my best to find the best possible shipping rate for you. And of course a bomb proof packaging is also guaranteed.

There was no particular labeled box for Edison cylinder blanks in Europe. They used the regular boxes (no matter if they were British, French or German) with just a different lid label on top, saying that this contains a blank. This is one of two different variations of that lid label in German.

In 1908 British buyers of a 2/4 minute conversion kit were offered a free set of 5 Special Amberol (4 min) and 5 Standard (2 min) cylinders. This is an example of a box of that set for a Standard cylinder.

An exceptionally nice and well equipped Edison Triumph Model B, with 2/4 Min. conversion, a shaver, and “D” repeater attachment. This machine is exceptionally clean, in excellent mechanical condition. The cover even has its original shipping blocks. It is sold with an original crane and beautiful red flowered horn. Price $1450.00

Also, a Victor Junior with a hard to find red petal horn. The machine is in good condition and runs well. The original reproducer is in very good condition and plays well. The underside of the cabinet has its original patent label dated February 1, 1908, along with a label showing motor lubrication points. Price $1200.00

Also bringing another Victor Junior with a repainted black cone horn. The machine is clean and runs well with an excellent reproducer. Price $675.00
