Now that is good music. I love it. I do not have any of his Brunswick records but do have a fair number of Victor scroll label. Also red Columbia but those I do not like much. Must be the music of the forties just not as good? Well any way your video is just wonderful listening. Thanks.

Okay I experimented and listened to Otis Redding and even the Three Dog Night doing this song. Gee will have to agree to disagree both versions fall short when compared to Eddy Duchin version. I had difficulty listening to both versions till the end I so wanted to end both before they were finished but forced myself to listen. No contest older music is just the best music. I found both newer versions slow and boring. I will stick to the 30s and before when it comes to this song!

So you didn't like Otis's version?  Try Tim Robbins ("When girls get wooly", instead of "weary") in the movie "Bull Durham".  Kevin Costner, as the catcher Crash Davis, chastises Robbins for getting the words wrong.

I just do not like most modern music. I love the Duchin band and everything about it. More modern versions seemed to be slowed down. Sort of boring! You have about one minute and eight seconds of a wonderful band before any singing. Otis starts singing at about 13 seconds in. I love the orchestra music that leads to the singing. No I did not like Otis version.
