Columbia Table Grand

This is one of my favorite machines. A nice British Columbia table grand. Plano-Flex tone arm and divided horn. Packs quite a lot into a small footprint. But unfortunately the decal for the model number is worn. Could anybody guess what model this is? Also has a nice Garrard motor.

It's either a 117A or a 119A.  117A has a single-spring motor and an 11-inch turntable (not many gramophones have that size of turntable!), the 119A has two springs and a 12-inch turntable. There is a difference in the height: 12 1/2 in. for the 117A, 14. in for the 119A.  118A and 120A were the same but in mahogany instead of oak.

I have something similar but then not. Different tone arm. Mine is a Vivatonal I believe but without the name on it. Here an ad someone showed me and I saved. I have the horn for sure.

From the information from Christopher & Neilvanstem I believe this to be a 119a.

The motor is a double spring Garrard with a 12” turntable. And measuring the height it is 14” tall.

Again it is quite a delight to use and packs great volume even with bamboo and thorn needles.

Many thanks to both of these Gentlemen 😊

I'd love to hear one of these, the horn fed by that soundbox must sound wonderful.
