Dealer tags

Back in my earlier days of collecting I would pick up just about any machine I could find, including a VV-XI. 😉 The one I currently have in my collection is exceptional and still holds many of its original records. Part of the charm of this machine is its dealer tag (a bit corroded, completely uncharacteristic of the rest of the machine) and dealer branded record cleaner. Albeit not the same dealer, but similar locale.

 

My favorite is the second record cleaner as a born-and-bred New Englander...

Levis Music was the go-to place in Rochester for generations of Eastman School students (myself included). Whenever we needed printed music, such as etude books for our private lessons, we hiked across Main Street to Levis, which was located directly opposite the Eastman Theatre and School. Sadly, the store is long gone. Here's a nickle-plated brass dealer plate on an Eagle.  Pretty fancy plate for an Eagle!

Nice dealer tag right over the decal. I'ver seen over decals before, but this is new to me. Really nice.

You're not wrong.  Rene's Cleveland Graphophone Co. plate is mounted to a Type AN.
