Description

I'm looking for a Columbia 10" conical horn in good original condition for the Eagle I recently purchased from George Paul. I am aware that Ron Sitko sells excellent reproductions, but wanted to look for an original first, similar to the one shown on the picture I found on the web.

Thanks

Andreas

Recommended Questions

Finding one of these 10" horns with good original paint can be a challenge, especially one of the Hawthorne & Sheble horns supplied to Columbia for the Eagle and the Q.

Here's a picture that shows a Gem horn (left), supplied by the Tea Tray Company to Edison, and a horn for an Eagle or Q (right), supplied by H&S to Columbia.  Note the difference in the small ends.

The TTCo horns generally have better paint than the H&S 10" horns.  For that reason, many Eagles and Qs have these horns displayed on them today (in my collection too!).

Best of luck with your search, Andreas!

George P.
