Description

Very nice Spanish gramophone, typical modernista design, these gramophones were made in Barcelona, this one aproximately about 1915. Everything is original to the machine except the turntable felt (which was gone), the crank which has a good replacement and the soundbox which is correct for the machine. It is in very nice shape.

It has a one spring motor which is silent and plays even the big discs with no problem.

These machines seldom surface, probably not that many were made in the first place and then dramatic Spanish history has left few behind. The brake is a model of brake used only in Spain and can be seen on several other machines from La Voz de su Amo. 

I am currently in Spain (Seville) and have put the machine for sale on Ebay for 1700 euros, if someone were to buy it here through The Antique Phonograph Forum I would sell it for 1500 euros. I used to be "snallast" on the TMF - back in the day when I could still log in - and have sold a couple of machines to members there. Oh well!

Transport would be possible - I know how to pack - but would have to be discussed.
